These 15KG bags of Australian-grown and manufactured Tasmanian Oak hardwood pellets (also known as HWFP or hardwood fuel pellets) are ideal for making mushroom substrate for hardwood-loving species — oysters, lion's mane, chestnut, pioppino, reishi, and more.

For mushroom substrate

Our pellets are made from 100% pure hardwood sawdust, free from any glues, fillers, chemicals, or additives. Preparation is straightforward: mix with warm water and allow to hydrate fully. For higher yields, blend with soy hull pellets (up to 50%) to create your own Masters Mix, or incorporate organic wheat bran (up to 20%). Pre-blended bags are also available in our store if you'd prefer a ready-to-mix option.

After fruiting, spent substrate makes an excellent nutrient-rich addition to your compost or garden bed — nothing wasted.

For BBQ and home heating

These clean-burning, sustainably sourced pellets work just as well outside the grow room. Use as smoker pellets on the BBQ to infuse dishes with a natural smoky flavour, or as efficient fuel pellets for a pellet wood stove. Same product, multiple uses.
