What neem oil does
Neem oil is one of nature's most effective plant protection compounds. Pressed from the seeds of the neem tree, it contains azadirachtin — a naturally occurring compound that disrupts the feeding and reproductive cycles of common indoor plant pests including spider mites, mealybugs, fungus gnats, and scale insects. Unlike synthetic pesticides, it works with your plant's biology rather than against it, and breaks down naturally without leaving chemical residues.
Used regularly as a preventative spray, neem oil makes your plants significantly less hospitable to pests before problems start — which is far easier than dealing with an infestation after the fact.
Why lemongrass?
Lemongrass oil is a natural insect deterrent in its own right — the citronella in lemongrass is what makes it effective against mosquitoes and other insects. How to use it
As a leaf cleaner: mist lightly onto foliage and wipe with a damp cloth or microfibre. This removes dust, unclogs leaf pores, and leaves a natural shine. Works beautifully on aroids, monsteras, rubber plants, and any other large-leafed indoor plants.
As a pest spray: apply directly to affected areas, focusing on the undersides of leaves where pests typically hide. Repeat every 7–10 days until the infestation clears, then monthly as maintenance.
